Very good va.ue for money.
Excellent breakfast. Changing daily. The three ladies who worked in the dining room were very responsive and nice.

What was the highlight of Gran Hotel
A little walk from Shingu station, but friendly and comfortable.
The staff were very friendly on check-in, and there was a lot of English information printed in the room information and around the hotel. The room was a good size, and the bed was warm and comfortable.
The breakfast was just OK, but there wasn't much choice, it was more like a salad plate at lunch time. I couldn't find a knife either, so I was spreading jam with a spoon (that's on me for not asking though). The sink and bathtub in the room was a bit damaged, although it didn't affect the usage.

What was the highlight of Gran Hotel
Perfect place to stay before going log rafting the next day
Perfect for a one night stay. Had everything that we needed and although we didn’t use them there was bikes available to use. We walked to all the main sights from the hotel.15 minute walk from train station.
Room was a little warm as it was centrally air conditioned it was however an exceptionally hot day.. Breakfast was a bit limited for our Western taste but probably perfect for most other travellers.

Wonderful
Gran Hotel is a bit away from the train station. We booked a double bed room which is quite spacious! The staffs are very nice and friendly!
